Amazing Book! Taking Flight!

Just finished reading this wonderful book and am so inspired I could scream! Everything about it is wonderful. It has wonderful art, inspiring stories, lots of motivation and encouragement and as a bonus, included interviews and techniques from other artists. I love that! Kelly Rae is so great in this book and opens up about her own journey with her art. You get alot more than just pretty pictures of art. It is well worth it! I am glad to own it and have it as part of my library. Check it out as well as Kelly's blog which I have a link to over there on the right. You will love it! I am ready to take flight and my creative spirit definitely got new wings!   ~KB

How ADORABLE is this?

Just too dang adorable I must say! I love this piece from artist Jennifer Valentine and just bought it at her Etsy shop! It is perfect for my kitchen area and I am still deciding whether I want to keep the timeless old photos that come with (all of children) or add photos of my own kiddos! Ahhhh, decisions? I'm sure I'll figure it out when the piece arrives.
   It features a cute little tea cup and old toy truck hanging from the bottom and the words Someone to play with in the middle.....PERFECT for this woman with 7 children I do say! And it is a vintage old dust pan....a dust pan.....who would've thought that would make a great photo holder? Jennifer Valentine....that's who! I cannot wait to get it!
   Jennifer collects old items, vintage, etc. and turns them into absolutely beautiful works of art! She is amazing and inspiring and is also Kelly Rae Robert's sister....another talented artist I so admire and am inspired by.

America Speaks....And Is Heard!

 Wow! Amazing! What a historical night! I am so proud, proud that I voted for this man named Barack Obama. Change is on it's way and I feel so much better knowing that there is going to be a better future for my children. This man is amazing, intelligent, and so very inspiring! I cannot wait to see the things that he will do! I am so proud to be a part of this history making event. Anything is possible, and I feel we will be on the right track sometime in the near future. To see the look and tears on the Rev. Jesse Jackson's face was ever so priceless. Who would have thought that a day like this would have come? It did. Yes, it did. I was asked by some people why I voted for Barack. My answers were:
I voted for him because:
   he is the right man for the job
   I want a better future for our children
   I want my nephew to come home safe and alive from Iraq
   I support the issues he is going to impose
   I want health insurance for my mother-in-law
   I want to see change for the middle class
   I want to see a better America
   I believe in this man
   I have faith in him
   I want CHANGE!......and he is the one to do the job!

I know it will be a long road for us all, it is a big mess to clean up. But, like Barack said, "We will get there!"  Yes, we will and we can!

     CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEW PRESIDENT........BARACK OBAMA.........

Happy Halloween!

I hope you all will have a very safe and happy Halloween! Still not back to blogging as of yet. This move really got me. It's tough, with everything to do and having the kids to deal with as well, but hopefully, I will be back at it soon. And, my computer was down for a bit and it's been a "you know what" getting it fixed and back up and working again! Lovely! So, since I haven't done much of anything but unpack boxes and be a mama and etc. etc., (no painting or any artsy or photo stuff) I will post a pic from a class I am taking from the talented cute Suzi Blu. This is from one of the student's in the class and I just draw inspiration from all of them. It's a very talented group of gals there! So, I go on the page and look at all the postings and art work and say....WOW!......I need to get a painting! I miss it and think that after Halloween here, I will do so! Gotta get a little "creative me" time in there!  So, until the next time...(and lets hope that I can post a pic of some of my artwork)...take care     ~KB

bag blogger, I know....BUT

we are moving, well, we are already actually here, so, we have MOVED. It's been something else and very much trying to get all things settled, kids will start school next week, I still need to get some things in house organized and all, ugh, ugh, ugh.....lots to do and I'm so so so TIRED!!!! So, that's been the reason for no blogging, and hopefully I will get back to it soon, but if not, I will be around and maybe I can check in here and there. It's just BUSY, BUSY, BUSY here and I'm only one woman....hee-hee!

Happy Father's Day!

To all dad's out there and also to my own sweet hubby and to the man for who I wouldn't be here without him (and also my mom, she played a part as well).... Dad's are great and do so much for their families! So a big hug & kiss out to my dad and my hubby! We all LOVE you!

hello........

wow....kids are out of school and the boredom has already hit! Of course it has! Oh well, they'll live. I did a session recently and it was so nice, such a change for me and I enjoyed it. This couple's children are grown and out of the house and so they are empty nesters and have furry children now. They adore their pets, Becky is the dog and Gray Boy is the cat. For their anniversary, she wanted pictures taken of her and the animals as a gift for her hubby. I have heard that he really loves the pics! I had fun with the session and the animals are so sweet, they did quite well, better than my children would have been! Anyway, it will be a change from the usual baby/kid pics I post. Summer is here and all is well, the kids have utilized our swimming pool almost every day so far....they are little fishes! I'll have to snap some pics of them. What matters most...

LOVE!    Just something new I came up with while staring at the pics of little Max as a newborn, who now is almost 4 months old! Even though the time is flying by way too fast...I have been savoring all my time and joy with him. He surely is my little LOVE! I am so thankful and grateful for him! Have a great day!     ~KB

Project Childhood

What a wonderful contest this is! Basically...it celebrates childhood! And as a mom of 7 here, of course, I love childhood! So, I entered! You can go to this site www.projectchildhood.com to check it out. There are some wonderful pics of children there! I entered 2 and will donate the session fees to Childhelp, a child abuse prevention charity. It's a great organization and you can find out more about it at www.childhelp.org. I absolutely love photos of kids being kids, they are by far my favs! It's just natural! So for me this contest had my heart. So, here are my 2 photos that I entered.
